Defensive Driving & Autocross Location: Donuts & iced cold water will be waiting for you during the 9:00 to 9:30 AM check-in. At 9:30 AM there will be a walk thru of the Defensive driving course. A box lunch will be provided around Noon, followed by the delightful Autocross! Prizes and Certificates to be awarded. $15.00 per person covers entry fee, lunch and all costs. Show & Shine Picnic Please mark your calendars to attend the second annual Show and Shine. The club will be providing hot dogs and hamburgers, buns, condiments and dinnerware. Bring a covered dish, an appetite and an automobile to be ‘Shown & Shined’ Please RSVP by Monday, August 17th, so our hunter/gathers have enough time to garner the goodies for the festivities. Progressive Dinner This year, our Progressive Dinner will be entirely at the Fashion Mall at Keystone Crossing. We will begin our foray into appetizers at T.G.I. 500 Section Club Members: Your participation needed! The organizers want twenty five – 25 Mercedes Benz autos for a parade and exhibition
afterwards. We will assemble at 11:30 am. We must be ready to begin lining up our vehicles at 11:45 am
for the parade. We are to meet on the Southside of After the parade, we will have our own cordoned lot to park and display our automobiles for the festival

"A" brings the first annual Original and Fabulous GermanFest to the capital city. A free, day-long family
indoor/outdoor festival with booths and activities celebrating all things
German, including: ·
MUSIC: Stomp
your feet to live performances all day long by an array of German
entertainers, capped off by Indy Polkamotion, a
Central Indiana favorite, performing live on stage 4-7 p.m. Some of Indy's
most popular performing arts organizations will also provide a sampling of
their talent. ·
CONTESTS: Enter
the First Annual Indy-Yodel Contest judged by a team of high Bavarian
mountain climbers. ·
RACING: Cheer on
your favorite contestant in the Wiener Dog Race featuring dachshunds racing
down ·
DISPLAYS: Feast
your eyes on a magnificent display of German-made automobiles, both late model and vintage Mercedes Benz, Porsche and
more! ·
FOOD: GermanFest wouldn't be complete without Bratwurst. But
get ready also for giant hot pretzels, German pastries and more! ·
BEVERAGES: Those
who want to wash down their brats with something cold and frothy will find
refreshment in the Beer Tent and Biergarten. For
others there will be ample soft drinks and other non-alcoholic beverages to
keep the whistle wet. ·
FOR THE KIDS:
The YMCA will host a special area with pint-sized contests and activities. ·
AND WHEN THE SUN GOES DOWN: The evening of
Oct. 10 brings the GermanFest Benefit, a ticketed
event featuring Cabaret-style seating at tables of four, a silent auction
beginning at 8 p.m. with "wunderbar"
prizes such as a trip for two to Germany, and a concert at 9 p.m. featuring
top Beatles tribute band "1964" performing some of the Beatles'
most memorable tunes. Tickets to the benefit are $125 each or $500 per table. |

variety of Fresh Vegetables, and Homemade Pies and Cobblers...plus much
more! Here’s their menu. After the sumptuous meal, we’ll waddle over to Huber’s Orchard, Winery & Vineyard where they have a bakery, cheese shop, ice cream factory, loft tasting bar, gift shop and of course, the distillery. There you will have your choice of “ wines with intense varietal character that are hand distilled in individual batches allowing for the ultimate expression of the distillers art.” You may linger as long as you desire.
